I finally felt victim to the invasion of the berries........ Posted by Picasa

hi will!

Saw Eric McCormack aka Will in Will and Grace working out in Equinox Fitness in the West Village on Saturday afternoon. Its nice to know that such a talented and big star can be so modest and down to earth....

miami: self discovery

So i was in Miami last weekend, and i had to bring a sore throat and harsh cough along. Despite all bodily indications that i should just relax on South Beach and rest when the sun sets to faciliate prompt recovery, i was downing shots, coronas and riesling and puffing away like no tomorrow. Ironically, i was downing Robitussin as well. Just what was i thinking? How can i justify my behaviour to that of a sensible 30 year old to be adult? I wondered, am i so over the idea of insensibility? When you are younger, being irrational at times can mean some good. Sometimes its really just pure fun, sometimes to seek attention when you are insecure, all in the positive light of self discovery. But is endless intoxication my excuse for discovery any more?

Despite beautiful weather down south, I felt disconnected once more. A bit ashamed that i have harmed myself in someway. If i keep complaining about realtionship woes, have i ever set my lifestyle to be healthy for one at all? Maybe i deserve a wake up call. So now close to a week after the trip, i am still battering the aftermath of my irrationality, the most disgusting cough i ever experienced!

I helped Ken shaved his hair while being photographed today. Definitely an experience of a lifetime. Both for him and myself.

one night in spain

A bit too much of yummy seafood on a Friday nite in a cellar in Spain. I love the random vintage oil paintings that dotted the white walls. Such a historic European feel......

one fine weekend

I thought i did a lot this weekend. Hit the gym, brunch twice at the meatpacking, played mahjong, hit two clubs Saturday nite, hung out at hudson river park, cupcakes at Magnolia, picked up flip flop, a cap, sweater and an army tee from Marc Jacobs in preparation for summer and i think i watched MI III, which is pretty much forgettable to me, except for Maggie Q. Now refreshed and looking forward to the next weekend!!

meat market

Nero at the meatpacking district. Yes, again. I seem to be a tag too obsessed with this trendy neighbourhood this spring.

secret

Was in and out in 15 minutes. Secret Lounge is obviously a secret no more to New Yorkers, and i can't help but feel that a large part of the old world charm was losted to the rowdy crowd that jam packed the place on Saturday nite. Pity....This is New York, you are sometimes 'in', but most of the time 'out'.

fatty crab

Life is meant to be contradictory. This chic restaurant that serves pricy but super authentic and yes fatty (as the name implies) Malaysian food has been my favourite desination after working out at Equinox Fitness in the Meatpacking district. I am on a mission to stay trim and fit, yet never on any mission to cut down on my fat intake.

What i love most about this place is the irony that the chefs and wait staffs are non-Asians, but preppy laid back white jocks who blasted rock 'n' roll at the background. Yet the decor and food makes any Asian feel right at home.

life at the top

In New York, anything with a view comes with a hefty mark up, especially when summer is at our footsteps. Friday evening marks my first rooftop drinking outing this summer at Rare View, an it midtown gathering place for after work yuppies. Its nice to lie back under mild evening rays, chill with a beer and bitch the hell out of the work week, before gorging myself crazy at Chat 'n' "Chew.

Current thoughts: Even if the journey may be tough and i may feel i have nothing, i think i still have New York and friends that came with the city. At least i hope so....

weight loss

Not surprisingly, there have been comments that i have been losing weight. Not surprising too cos i have not step into the gym for the longest time.....I need to figure out how to maintain some balance between work, health and leisure. I guess i just need to learn to walk away when i need to.....
I hope things get better.

west broadway

Saturday, as i was waiting for my diva friends to arrive for brunch and Karaoke, i sat by the pavement at West Broadway Soho to have enjoy the perfect spring weather. Seems to be a while since i have been in this area. Its a nice feeling to see people hanging out and enjoying the city.

I barely have time to blog recently. As usual, work has took its toil on me. As i slowly come to realize that i have been missing out on dinners, attending film festival like the Tribeca, i can't help but wondered if this is all worthwhile. There just seem to be so much i want to do out of work, but dun have the energy or time to pursue. Should i be expecting this? I am starting to lose my patience.....I wonder how i can ever find time to even initiate a relationship if this goes on...

Current state of mind: I want to try to be successful, but when you look at what you need to go through to achieve that, you wonder if the process is worthwhile...
